About the Event
Abril
Bookstore is celebrating its 30th anniversary! In
commemoration of this event, we are proud to present “Abrink:
Celebration of Armenian Literature and Culture.”
We have
invited prominent authors, artists, professors, performers, and
scholars from the Armenian community to share their knowledge and
talents with you. Come and enjoy a weekend of Armenian literature,
art, music, theater, film, and dance in the heart of the Armenian
community. We will have storytelling and play reading segments,
Armenian dance and miniature art workshops, author panel
discussions, scholarly lectures, film screenings, and theatrical and
musical performances. You are welcome to spend a day, two days, a
couple of hours, or attend any combination of segments that appeal
to your palette. We guarantee that you will leave enlightened with
a well-rounded knowledge of the splendor of the Armenian heritage.
Refreshments
and snacks will be offered throughout the weekend. Bring a
notebook, a pen, and a healthy appetite and mind to soak in all the
culture we will offer.
Segments will
be held either in English, Armenian or both. We have noted the
language for each segment in the schedule. The schedule is subject
to change. Please check with our website from time to time for any
updates or changes that have been made.
